Challenge: Find 3 magic numbers hidden among the 9 on this tree.
Relationship: The SUM of the 3 numbers EQUAL to their PRODUCT.
Condition: NONE of the 3 magic numbers are the same!
Points: 3 for the correct answers. 1 for trying.

ANSWER: The sum of numbers 1, 2, 3 is EQUAL to the product of 1, 2, 3.
1 + 2 + 3 = 6
1 x 2 x 3 = 6

the only numbers that work are 1, 2, and 3 because when you add them you get 6: 1+2+3=6. When you multiply them, you also get 6, 1x2 x3=6. no other three different numbers from 1 to 9 work because their product becomes bigger than their product. Example, 2 × 3 × 4 = 24, but 2 + 3 + 4 = 9. therefore, 1, 2 and 3 are the only numbers that work. So, 1, 2, and 3 are the ‘magic’ numbers.
